Rgrain 2.0 “Formats” let’s you add “overscan” borders and film perforations to your footage as if it originated from film.

“Formats” features full aperture overscan looks of Super 8mm, Super 16mm, 35mm, print stocks and more. An “overscan” is when a motion picture film scanner digitizes the entire negative or print image area including perforations and frame lines / borders.

OVERSCAN EXAMPLES

Each clip is pre-matted with its own embedded alpha channel and can be overlayed onto any footage without complex compositing. Adding an overscan look to your footage is the perfect finishing touch, and it looks like the real thing, because it IS the real thing.

The overlays are delivered at the highest resolution (Full aperture 4096x3112 & DCI 4K + ) to allow maximum flexibility during compositing. You can re-frame borders and emulate any film format available.
